IMPORTANT!!!

Two weeks of games are behind us, and thanks to a lot of 'stepping up' from board members and some parents, we've been able to run the games.  But it hasn't been easy.

We've had board members scrambling to fill monitor and chain positions, as well as doing double (triple?) duty in the scoring booth.  We've also had to shift parents around at the last minute due to cancellations and no-shows.  Thankfully, most have been gracious about it.

However, we can't continue to operate that way.   Please communicate with your families the following:
1) We CANNOT run a game without monitors and chain positions being filled. In order to ensure the games will go on, I will be shifting volunteers to fill those positions first.  I'll pull from the folks that have signed up for positions during the playoff games, I'll be shifting people from non-essential postions to fill the monitor and chains positions.

2)  I have re-opened the sign up website at http://pyfc.ivolunteer.com/2014   This will allow families who have not completed their sign up to do so.

3) I will be rolling up the participation report to the board and coaches on Wednesday, Sept 17th.  We will discuss in the board meeting this week and communicate the list of children who will not be able to participate in this weekends games to you.  This goes for both football and cheer families.

4)  We want to be able to videotape all the games, so that the coaches can review progress and give feedback to players.  These positions were not originally posted on the registration site, but will be added to the site by tomorrow PM to enhance visibility and allow for parents to sign up online.

5)  We also still need booth (announcer, scoreboard, and spotter) positions.  If parents want to fill those positions, please contact me at adkgirl46@gmail.com

Thanks for your time and for reviewing and forwarding my note.  I appreciate that we are ALL spending a lot of our time to give the kids an opportunity to play and cheer.  But we need to change things up a bit to make it continue this season.
